Day Eighty Two - D-Day ... π±
After 2 hours sleep I got up at 5 a.m. to try get some last minute cramming in for the long day of exams ahead ! π΄
The exams started at 8:30 a.m. and finished at 3:30 p.m. split into 3 different sessions! If I'm very honest they were a lot more difficult than I expected but that said I hadn't been studying up until the last couple of days!! Great intentions ... π€«
The relief after the finish ... I think I probably did ok but that's to be seen in a couple of months when we get the results! π€
To get rid of the day a few of us headed down to Ballycotton for a swim ... and get rid of the day it did! There really is nothing like a dip in the sea! π
We got back just in time to be able to grab some bubbles before heading down to the school for our final final meal! π
At 6:30 p.m. we had pre dinners drinks in the conservatory at the school ... we arrived to the sounds of a few musicians and it was extremely strange to see the teachers all walking around with trays in hand serving drinks and canapΓ©s ... a lovely start to the evening! π
The dinner itself was prepared by Rory O'Connell himself and the teachers ... and what a meal! One Star Rory ... βοΈβοΈβοΈ
The atmosphere at dinner was fantastic with people really appreciating everything on show and the whole experience of the 12 weeks and the people who facilitated us while we were there! π
I also somehow got roped into giving a goodbye address and thank you on behalf of the students ... my worst nightmare ... you can see part of my effort below! ππ€π
As is apparently normal for the final night we got a bus to the BlackBird pub in Ballycotton where we all whiled away the evening outside on the terrace! A reasonably sensible finish at 2:30 a.m. back at the cottages closed the curtain on our final night at Ballymaloe! π’
